Alipur police station registered a case on the complaint of the victim
New Delhi. In Alipur area, a case of cheating a person of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of selling a plot of five hundred yards has come to light. The accused committed the crime by showing the plot of another person. The accused absconded after receiving the money from the victim. On the complaint of the victim, Alipur police station has registered a case of forgery and cheating.
The victim lives in Ramnivas with his family in Narela. In the complaint given to the police, he told that Mohit, a resident of Sonipat, Haryana, showed him a plot near Singhu village. He claimed this plot as his own. He talked about selling the plot for Rs 73 lakh. After liking the plot, the victim bought it from Mohit. The victim gave an earnest money amount of Rs 15 lakh to Mohit and transferred Rs 58 lakh through RTGS.
Mohit got a General Power of Attorney (GPA) made in the name of the victim. After that the victims reached their plot. Where it was revealed that this plot was not of Mohit but of some other person. The victim immediately called Mohit, but his phone was switched off. The victim tried to contact him for several days, but could not get in touch with Mohit. After realizing that he was cheated, the victim complained about it at Alipur police station. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim.
